Popular TikToker Peller is counting his blessings after a frightening fire incident nearly destroyed his newly acquired house.
The content creator, whose real name is Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, revealed that his generator suddenly caught fire in the early hours of the morning, sending panic through the building as flames spread to parts of the property.
Sharing a video of the chaotic moment online, Peller showed how he and others in the house rushed to contain the blaze before it consumed the entire building.
According to him, the situation was intense and lasted longer than expected.
“This happened early this morning, my new generator almost burned down my new house, but God saved us. It took us over 30 minutes to put out the fire. All I can say is God saved us.”
The influencer said the flames were already affecting parts of the structure before they were finally extinguished, leaving him shaken but grateful that no lives were lost.
The incident adds to a growing list of Nigerian entertainers who have faced devastating or near-devastating fire outbreaks in recent years.
Among them are Yetunde Bakare, who once survived a petrol keg fire at home, and Laura Ikeji, whose beauty store went up in flames overnight.
Actress Iyabo Ojo also experienced a fire outbreak at her office building, while Bose Alao narrowly escaped a house fire with help from neighbours.
Others were not as fortunate. Mercy Aigbe lost her Lagos mansion to fire, and Bidemi Kosoko also suffered major property damage, an incident later shared publicly by her sister Sola Kosoko.
Musicians Orezi and Small Doctor both lost expensive homes to fire outbreaks, while comedian Ayo Makun also saw his Lagos residence gutted by flames, destroying millions in property.
For Peller, however, the outcome was different, and he made it clear he sees survival as nothing short of divine intervention.
His emotional reaction online has since drawn relief and congratulatory messages from fans thankful that the disaster did not turn tragic.
