Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has shared a powerful message on self-worth while reflecting on her weight loss journey, reminding fans that body size should never define personal value.
The 43-year-old actress posted a striking before-and-after photo of her transformation on Instagram, using the moment to speak about mental strength, self-acceptance, and intentional growth.
In her caption, she wrote:
“I need you to hear this from me….being ‘fat’ is not the problem. Hating yourself is. Doubting yourself is. Believing you’re not enough is. That’s the real struggle.”
She stressed that personal worth has nothing to do with body size, adding:
“Your size has never canceled your worth.”
Encouraging followers who want to lose weight, the actress advised them to do so for the right reasons, not pressure or public opinion.
“Respect it. Thank it. Celebrate it,” she wrote, urging people to appreciate their bodies for everything they have endured.
Reflecting on her own transformation, Badmus described the process as gradual and deeply intentional.
“Transformation starts in the mind. I didn’t wake up one day different….I made small, consistent decisions. And guess what? You can too. If I can do it, you can absolutely do it.”
She also expressed gratitude to fans who have supported her journey over the years.
“To everyone who has supported and celebrated my journey so far… I see you. I appreciate you. Your love means everything to me.”
The actress has long been open about her health journey. In 2025, she revealed she reduced her weight from about 170kg to 90kg, a change she said improved her breathing, sleep, diet, and overall wellbeing.
Despite embracing a healthier lifestyle, she has previously admitted missing aspects of her former body’s fullness, showing that transformation can be both physical and emotional.
Beyond her screen success in films like Jenifa, Omo Ghetto, and Love and New Notes, Badmus also serves as Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Her latest message has since resonated widely online, with fans praising her honesty, resilience, and strong advocacy for self-love.
