Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has firmly addressed public speculation about her relationship with fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, making it clear that the two have never been friends.
The clarification followed backlash after Biodun mistakenly liked one of Lizzy’s social media posts, a move many interpreted as support amid ongoing controversies.
Setting the record straight, the actress stressed that she only maintains cordial relationships with colleagues and does not keep close friendships within the movie industry.
She also denied supporting any curse-related content, explaining her social media interactions were simply courtesy and reciprocity.
“That person has NEVER been my friend. We were never friends in real life… I’m cordial with my colleagues, and I have no issues with anyone.”
Biodun added that she intentionally avoids taking sides in industry conflicts and does not believe in inheriting other people’s enemies.
However, she did not hold back while addressing what she described as damaging false narratives about her personal life.
“How could someone claim she was fighting for me yet push several false narratives, including that my children have different fathers…?”
She then made a direct and emotional clarification.
“Let me state it clearly: my children are from the same father. They are both OKEOWO.”
The actress explained that her silence in the past was deliberate, but she felt compelled to speak now to stop what she called persistent misrepresentation.
She concluded by reaffirming her position:
“We are not friends, never been. We were colleagues.”
The statement has stirred reactions online, with fans debating loyalty, neutrality, and boundaries in Nollywood relationships.
