Portable Fires Back Over Alleged Industry Blacklisting

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has hit back at claims that some top industry figures, including rapper and music executive Olamide, and promoters have blacklisted him.

Influencer Tunde Perry recently revealed that he attended a meeting where industry executives allegedly agreed to blacklist Portable due to his “gross misconduct.” Perry claimed Portable’s behaviour discouraged established artists from supporting upcoming acts.

But in a fiery video response, Portable dismissed the claims and turned the spotlight back on himself, asserting his independence in the music scene.

“I am bigger than them. Who are those who want to blacklist? I heard that Tunde Perry said Olamide and his circle of music executives called for me to be blacklisted. Are you guys, my fans or my God? Are you feeding me?”

Portable went on to emphasize that his fans are his real support system, claiming he doesn’t need the backing of music executives to succeed.

“I have my own fans. I am bigger than any f**king person. Anyone who wants to help you, won’t stress you. Don’t use the assistance you gave me in the past to stress me. Are you the only one who has ever assisted me?”

He warned those allegedly involved in the blacklist to stay in their lane.

“Why would you say they shouldn’t play my songs again? Olamide, don’t mess with me. If you mess with me, I will return the energy. Stay on your own lane.”

The Zazu crooner’s response has since sparked debates across social media, with fans praising his confidence while critics question his confrontational approach.
