Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about his long-standing rift with colleague Blaqbonez, saying he is willing to reconcile, but only if an apology is made personally and sincerely.
Speaking on a recent Pulse podcast, the ‘Wotowoto’ crooner explained that his Christian faith drives him to forgive, but forgiveness must come from a “contrite heart.”
“My rift with Blaqbonez is personal. But I won’t rule out the possibility of reconciliation because there is nothing God can’t forgive. However, you can only forgive a contrite heart,” he said.
Odumodublvck claimed that Blaqbonez has attempted to mend fences indirectly, sending respected industry figures to intervene instead of approaching him directly.
“You are sending big artists to come and beg me but because you want to maintain a social image, you don’t want to apologise even in private because you feel I would expose you if you do,” he added.
He criticised Blaqbonez for downplaying their disagreement as a mere rap beef, insisting that it is more personal than music alone.
“Real men don’t behave like that. I can’t possibly post someone’s apology online. If you can’t humble yourself, you will be stunted,” the rapper remarked.
Fans of both artists have been weighing in online, with many hoping the two can settle their differences, while others debate whether pride or humility will prevail in the reconciliation.
