Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has sparked conversation after revealing that she once received a car as a gift while married, and her husband had no problem with it.
Speaking in a recent interview, the screen icon explained that public figures, especially women, often receive gifts from admirers. According to her, such gestures are not unusual in the entertainment industry.
She stressed that both men and women receive support from admirers, but women tend to experience it more openly and frequently.
“Women dey get admirers. Men too get admirers wey dey help them, but women have more… Them don dash me car before.”
When asked if the car gift came after she was already married, the actress confirmed it did, and made it clear she saw nothing wrong with accepting it.
When the interviewer asked how her husband reacted, her response was direct and confident.
“Wetin happen make I go return the car? My husband is the most secure man.”
Omotola, who has been married to Matthew Ekeinde for decades, said emotional security is essential in any marriage, especially when one partner lives in the public eye.
She explained that her husband’s confidence is part of what makes their relationship strong.
“Think am na. How you go marry Omo s£xy if you no secure. He’s the most secure human being you can ever meet.”
