Former Big Brother Naija star Queen Mercy Atang has publicly blasted her ex-boyfriend after he reached out with a Valentine’s Day message and she did not hold back.
In a fiery Instagram post, the reality star accused her former partner of spreading damaging lies about her when she got married in 2024, only to return years later asking for forgiveness.
She questioned his sudden interest, asking bluntly:
“Or because I’m no longer married, you think I’m desperate for love?”
Queen recalled how he allegedly recruited friends and even strangers to drag her name across social media platforms.
“Remember 2024 when I got married? Remember the lies you spread about me on WhatsApp, Snapchat and IG… recruiting your friends, even people I’ve never met, just to drag my name.”
According to her, the emotional toll was heavy. She said she cried, begged him to stop, and even reached out to people close to him for intervention.
But now, years later, he is reportedly reaching out through her family, calling her “sister” and asking for her contact so he can apologise.
Queen made it clear she is not interested.
“My brother, love is no longer in my dictionary… I’m no longer the mumu lover girl I used to be.”
She also reminded followers that their relationship dated back to their university days at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, stressing that once a relationship ends for her, it stays that way.
“Once you’re my ex, you remain my ex for life.”
The reality star married David Oyekanmi in March 2024, but later confirmed that the marriage had crashed. She publicly declared herself single and unavailable.
Since the split, Queen says she has faced criticism, rumours, and constant public judgment, something she has repeatedly addressed online.
