Family Almost Ruined My Hustle – Skitmaker Zicsaloma Says

Popular Nigerian skitmaker Isaac Aloma, better known as Zicsaloma, has opened up on how family pressure slowed down his journey to financial independence.

Speaking in a recent video shared online, the content creator revealed that several of his early business ventures failed because of what he described as an “entitled” attitude from family members.

According to Zicsaloma, the pressure to constantly give, support, and carry extended family financially made it difficult for him to save, reinvest, and build long-term wealth.

“I did a lot of business while growing up, but most of them failed because of family,” he said. “African family, and even your own family, are very entitled to your wealth, even when the purpose of working is to save money and build a better future.”

The skitmaker stressed that financial freedom requires discipline and boundaries, even if it means being misunderstood.

“It is very, very okay to be financially heartless even to your friends and family,” Zicsaloma stated. “So you can save up and break that circle. They will hate you for it, but trust me, it is for your own good.”

His comments have since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians relating to the struggle of balancing family expectations with personal financial growth.
