Actress Halima Abubakar Begs Nigerians For Surgery Funds

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has made a fresh emotional appeal for help, revealing that she urgently needs money for brain and spleen surgery.

In a viral video currently circulating online, the actress was seen sitting on the floor beside her luggage and personal belongings, visibly distressed as she spoke directly to Nigerians.

“I’m tired of begging,” Halima said. “Please help me with money for my brain and spleen surgery.”

The actress explained that her situation has become overwhelming, adding that she has been battling serious health challenges while struggling financially.

This is not the first time Halima has cried out publicly. Months ago, she revealed that she was ejected from her home despite plans to renew her rent, and also disclosed that she was still undergoing medical treatment.

Last year, the actress shared a disturbing video where she prayed tearfully, saying her pain and tears would not be in vain. In another post, she admitted she was struggling and again appealed for financial support, sharing her account details with the public.

Several colleagues, including actor Saidi Balogun, took to her comment section to offer prayers and words of encouragement.

Halima’s situation comes years after she was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria in 2024 over allegations of defamation against colleagues and other prominent Nigerians. She later issued a public apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman, admitting that her claims against him were false and expressing regret for the damage caused.

Despite past controversies, the actress’ recent plea has sparked renewed conversations online about health struggles, support systems, and the welfare of entertainers facing medical challenges.
