Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly referred to her son as King Andre Churchill, marking a notable shift years after she dropped his father’s surname during their highly publicised split.
The actress made the update in a recent Instagram post featuring herself, her son, and her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill. In the caption, she addressed the child as “King Andre Churchill,” signaling a return to his father’s surname.
The development comes after years of strained relations between the former couple. In 2019, Dikeh had officially changed her son’s surname to Dikeh, distancing him from his father at the height of their conflict. At the time, she frequently described herself as both mother and father to the boy.
However, recent events suggest a thaw in relations. Last month, Dikeh extended what many described as an olive branch, speaking about healing after years of bitterness and broken communication. She said divine intervention played a role in mending fences.

Churchill also confirmed a renewed connection with his son, revealing that he received an emotional phone call from the boy.
“Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God can’t do doesn’t exist,” he said, expressing gratitude to Dikeh for what he described as her role as “an amazing mother.”
In the comment section of one of his posts, Dikeh responded warmly, referring to him as “Big Church,” further fueling speculation of a peaceful co-parenting phase between the former couple.
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill got married in 2015 before their union ended two years later in a split that dominated headlines and social media conversations.
