Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has stirred fresh conversation online after questioning why many married men do not wear their wedding rings.
The actress took to her Instagram page with a blunt message aimed at married men, wondering why they shy away from wearing the symbol of their commitment. Anita, who recently went through a divorce, made it clear that she is not letting the issue slide anytime soon.
Sharing her thoughts in a post, she wrote:
“But men, why una no Dey wear una wedding tings? This Year una go hear quotes Tire oh.”
The post quickly caught attention, with followers debating whether wedding rings truly matter or if commitment goes beyond wearing jewellery.
Anita’s comment comes months after a difficult personal chapter in her life. In December, the actress confirmed the end of her five-year marriage to MC Fish, describing the period as one filled with deep reflection, pain, and healing.
She wrote at the time that life has a way of testing people in ways they never expect, especially in marriage, adding that she was choosing grace, growth, and faith despite the heartbreak.
According to insiders who spoke with a popular blogger, the marriage reportedly ended after serious emotional and personal challenges. The actress was said to have suffered the loss of two pregnancies; a stillbirth and a miscarriage, and also endured domestic violence during the union.
Following the divorce, Anita Joseph made it clear that she is currently single and not searching for a new relationship. She revealed that men had been calling her nonstop, but insisted she needs time to clear her head.
“Eight years and eleven days is not eight months,” she reportedly said, stressing that healing comes before moving on.
