Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has made an emotional public appeal, asking Nigerians to help her locate a close friend she lost contact with after secondary school.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, the actress revealed that she has been repeatedly dreaming about her former schoolmate, identified as Maria Stephen Seun, which has left her deeply concerned about her well-being.
According to Kemi, the two attended Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School (OLASS), Yaba, Lagos, and were part of the 1998 set. She said the recurring dreams pushed her to speak out, as she fears her friend might be going through a difficult time.
She wrote, “Looking for my lost loved one (friend) Maria Stephen Seun, Our Lady of Apostles, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria (OLASS 98 set). I keep seeing Maria in my dreams, and I just want to be sure she is okay and not in any trouble whatsoever.”
Kemi added that their mutual friend, Ebun, could help reconnect them, but she can no longer remember Ebun’s surname or social media handle.
“Our common friend is Ebun, but I don’t remember Ebun’s last name right now. I remember we communicated sometime here on this platform, but I don’t remember her handle anymore,” she explained.
The actress urged anyone with useful information to reach out, saying,
“Please leave a message in my comment section or DM if you have information that can help locate my best friend in secondary school.”
Following her post, fans and followers have flooded her comment section with messages of support, prayers, and hopes that the appeal will lead to good news about Maria.
Many described the post as touching, applauding Kemi Afolabi for using her platform to search for a friend rather than staying silent.
