Popular Nigerian influencer Tunde Ednut has stirred fresh controversy after claiming that Regina Daniels’ public appearance with an alleged new boyfriend triggered the arrest of her best friend, Ann, by her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Tunde made the allegation in a strongly worded Instagram post on Monday evening, reacting to reports that Ann was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command over theft and other allegations reportedly made by the senator.
The arrest, according to online reports, came just days after Regina Daniels was spotted abroad in a nightclub, appearing close to a new man believed to be her boyfriend.
Addressing the senator directly, Tunde Ednut urged him to move on and stop dragging Regina’s circle into their personal fallout.
“You don’t have to keep trying to arrest her family members all the time. It’s enough. We know you are powerful and influential, but it’s ok sir,” Ednut wrote.
He added bluntly, “Grandpa, at this point, you have to move on sir.”
In another post, the influencer accused the senator of using his influence to intimidate people close to Regina.
“DEAR NED NWOKO SIR. Pa Ned Nwoko don find another strategy to arrest that small girl’s brother again,” he wrote.
“Sir, it’s time to let that girl go sir. She no want you anymore, just leave her and her family alone.”
Tunde went further to suggest that a viral photo of Regina with her alleged new lover may have sparked the latest action.
“I know it’s that picture of her alleged new boyfriend’s hand on her soft hips that triggered this new arrest,” he wrote, before adding, “but sir, you have to find it somewhere in your heart to let that beautiful, fresh warm skinned, tomato Jos, soft yansh, talented young girl go. Grandpa please sir.”
He also reminded the senator of his public responsibilities.
“You are a senator sir, don’t forget you have work to do ooo!”
The arrest of Ann has continued to spark heated reactions online, with many Nigerians divided over the allegations and the influencer’s bold remarks.
