Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has addressed her fans after falling ill, describing the experience as one of the most serious health challenges she has faced in a long time.
The actress shared the update via her Instagram page, where she revealed that she had been sick for several days and could barely function during the period. According to her, the illness affected the planned release of her new movie, prompting her to speak directly to her supporters.
“My dearest besties, I know you’ve all been waiting for our new movie. I have been, too, but I’ve been very sick for the last few days,” Oboli wrote.
The filmmaker admitted that despite trying to push through, her condition became overwhelming.
“I was still trying to make it work, but I couldn’t remember the last time I was that ill. The devil is a liar!” she added.
Omoni Oboli reassured fans that her decision to delay the release was driven by her commitment to quality and respect for their support.
“I’ve only just been able to come up for air today, and I don’t want to give you something less than perfect. So, shall we release tomorrow? I’m so sorry,” she wrote.
In an emotional close to her statement, the actress reaffirmed her bond with her audience.
