Senator Ned Nwoko has rejected Regina Daniels’ recently released negative drug test, insisting it does not clear her name amid their ongoing legal and custody battle.
In a fresh statement released by his communications team, Nwoko argued that the single test, conducted months after the initial allegations, cannot override earlier medical reports from Nigeria and South Africa, which he claims showed traces of drugs and alcohol.
According to the statement, the actress had previously admitted to recreational use of MDMA, also known as Molly, but denied being addicted. Nwoko, however, maintained that the substance remains a hard drug regardless of how it is described.
Reacting to the new test result, Nwoko’s team stated:
“You only got a negative result cos’ of abstinence, doesn’t mean you are clean. We don’t even know how the test was conducted. It doesn’t invalidate the two positive ones we did in RSA and Nigeria. Molly is a hard drug no matter how you package it.”
The statement further revealed that the court, in December 2025, granted Nwoko custody of their two young sons while dismissing allegations of human rights abuse levelled against him. The court reportedly ordered Regina Daniels to undergo supervised rehabilitation and psychological evaluation before regaining access to the children.
Nwoko’s camp added:
“The court gave me custody of the kids, and dismissed all human rights abuse allegations and advised you go for therapy. When it’s time we’d present our evidence and investigate your new test result.”
Questioning the timing of the test, the statement continued:
“If you want transparency and accountability, you won’t do a test three months later at your convenience.”

The public exchange comes as both parties prepare for a custody hearing scheduled for February, with each side claiming their actions are in the best interest of the children’s stability and wellbeing.
