Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has sparked fresh conversations around celebrity boundaries after calling out Lagos-based influencer Dami Foreign for commenting on her six-year-old son, Jamil.
The drama unfolded on Tuesday morning after Dami Foreign posted a video of Tiwa Savage attending an event with her son, captioning it, “Omo, why’s Tiwa Savage son frowning?” The post quickly gained attention, but it did not sit well with the singer.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter) page, Tiwa accused the influencer of running a long-term paid agenda against her and warned that dragging her child into online conversations was crossing a red line.
She wrote:
“@TheDamiForeign you see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down and you’ve been doing it for a long time. You talking about my child is crossing the line. Dami with my FULL CHEST e no go better for you. You even posted that you wanted me to die young… Back to sender.”
In another tweet, the singer dismissed what she described as an unhealthy fixation on her, stating:
“@TheDamiForeign the obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”
Tiwa went further, issuing a direct warning and making it clear that she was prepared to escalate the matter if it happened again.
“@TheDamiForeign I dare you to post anything about my child again and THIS WILL MOVE BEYOND TWITTER.”
The heated exchange comes amid a recent clash between both parties, where Dami Foreign had previously referred to the singer as “old,” a comment that already stirred backlash at the time.

Reacting to Tiwa Savage’s outburst, the influencer appeared stunned, responding simply:
“Tiwa Savage dey find me ke.”
The situation has since divided social media. While many fans rallied behind Tiwa Savage, praising her for protecting her son and setting firm boundaries around family matters, others argued that the singer ignored positive comments Dami had made about her in the past and only reacted to the negative ones.
Some users encouraged the music star to take concrete action beyond social media, while critics claimed the situation reflects a wider pattern where Nigerian celebrities engage only when faced with criticism.
