Filmmaker and actress Toyin Abraham is celebrating a major career milestone as her latest cinema release, Oversabi Aunty, continues its impressive run at the Nigerian and West African box office.
The movie has officially crossed the N711 million mark, setting a new personal box office record for the filmmaker and placing the title among the highest-grossing Nollywood films in the region.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Toyin poured out gratitude to God and fans who have continued to show up for the film. In an emotional message, she wrote:
“I may not have the perfect words, but my heart is full. Thank You, Lord🙏 and thank you to every single person watching and supporting Oversabi Aunty. I am deeply grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Earlier, film distribution company FilmOne confirmed the box office feat, announcing that the movie grossed N711.5 million in just 18 days, officially making it the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time in West Africa.
Sharing the update, FilmOne wrote:
“West Africa, you showed up and showed out in an Oversabi way 🥳🤭 Thank you for the love. In just 18 days, Oversabi Aunty grossed N711.5M, making it the 4th Highest Nollywood Film of all time in West Africa. Thank you to everyone for the love and support so far. Beyond the regional recognition, the achievement marks a first for Toyin Abraham, as Oversabi Aunty becomes the first film from her to cross the N700 million box office benchmark. At the time of reporting, the movie also ranked as the second highest-grossing film of the weekend, reinforcing its strong audience pull.
Released in cinemas on December 19, 2025, the film tells the story of Toun, a well-meaning but overly involved church usher whose constant interference often lands her in unexpected trouble.
The star-studded cast includes Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Queen Nwokoye, Jemima Osunde, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tana Adelana, and Toyin Afolayan, alongside Toyin Abraham herself.
Weeks after its release, Oversabi Aunty remains in cinemas nationwide, continuing to draw large audiences and further cementing Toyin Abraham’s growing dominance at the Nollywood box office.
