Marlian Records singer Zinoleesky has reacted after a viral video showed him in a physical altercation with an unidentified man at what was later revealed to be a filling station.
The clip, which spread rapidly across social media, captured the singer exchanging blows with the man, prompting widespread speculation. Many online users initially claimed the individual was an overzealous fan who got too close to the artiste.
However, Zinoleesky has strongly dismissed that narrative.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the singer, whose real name is Oniyide Azeez, explained that the fight was triggered after the man allegedly began throwing stones at a car carrying his family.
Reacting to claims that the attacker was a fan, Zinoleesky wrote:
“Person wey dey stone car wey my family dey inside na fan? 😂”
His response quickly gained traction, with fans praising him for standing up for his loved ones, while others criticized the incident, arguing that public fights involving celebrities are unacceptable regardless of the circumstances.
The situation has also reignited online conversations around Zinoleesky’s ongoing rivalry with fellow street-pop star Seyi Vibez. Some social media users speculated that the confrontation may have been fueled by taunts linked to the rivalry or reactions to Zinoleesky’s recent release, Tungba.
