Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has announced a break from social media as the new year begins, saying she is choosing happiness and peace over constant online presence.
The actress shared the update on her Instagram page while wishing her millions of followers a Happy New Year. Nancy revealed that she was already in Mauritius and decided to “log off” from social media till further notice, a move she described as something she does “as usual.”

Nancy’s decision immediately drew reactions from fans, many of whom praised her for prioritizing her mental health and personal well-being.
The actress has often spoken openly about growth, self-awareness and independence. In a previous post, Nancy reflected on her journey in the movie industry, describing the hurdles she faced and how determination and hard work shaped her career. She once stated that she works hard to provide for herself so she is never threatened by anyone walking away from her life.
Just a week before her New Year announcement, Nancy celebrated her birthday and officially entered a new chapter of her life. In a note to herself, she described Chapter 33 as a “transitional year” filled with lessons, while expressing excitement for what lies ahead.
To mark her birthday, the actress hosted her annual end-of-the-year party for pupils and staff of Methodist Primary Schools in Ikorodu. Sharing clips from the celebration, Nancy revealed that it has been her tradition since she turned 21, noting that she has maintained it for 13 years.
