Doris Ogala Reacts to Pastor Chris Okafor Apology

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reacted publicly to the heartfelt apology issued by clergyman and former lover, Pastor Chris Okafor, during a recent church service.

The pastor had stunned his congregation after he openly admitted to making mistakes in the past and apologised to the actress, going as far as kneeling before the church in what many described as an emotional moment.

Reacting shortly after the video surfaced online, Doris Ogala said she has forgiven Pastor Okafor but expressed strong reservations about a key part of his apology, his denial of their relationship.

In a post shared on her social media page, the actress wrote:

“CHRIS OKAFOR, I FORGIVE YOU, BUT THERE’S A PROBLEM. WHERE YOU SAID EVERYTHING IS A LIE — I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT, BECAUSE I DON’T LIE.”

Her reaction has reignited conversations around the long-running controversy between the pair, which has played out publicly over the past few weeks.

Last week, Ogala made explosive allegations against the clergyman, claiming he offered her $10,000 to retract earlier statements she had made about their relationship. She further demanded compensation, including $50,000, monthly financial support, and shares in his company, which she described as restitution for emotional distress and unfulfilled promises.

The actress had also accused Pastor Okafor of reneging on plans to marry her after a relationship she claimed began in 2017. According to Ogala, the relationship ended abruptly, leaving her emotionally distressed.

In several online posts, she alleged that the clergyman shared explicit videos of her without consent and claimed that her mental health deteriorated following the breakup, worsened by the death of her younger brother. She also accused him of financial exploitation, alleging that she funded projects for him and his associates without repayment.

Despite the public accusations and threats of legal action, Pastor Okafor proceeded with his wedding, a move that further fueled online debate.

This is not the first time Doris Ogala has accused a clergyman publicly. In a separate incident last year, she called out another pastor over alleged financial disputes, warning others about what she described as abuse of power by some religious leaders.

As reactions continue to trail Pastor Okafor’s apology and Ogala’s response, social media remains divided, with many Nigerians calling for accountability, restraint, and proper legal channels to address the matter.
