Allwell Ademola’s Brother Slams Nollywood Colleagues After Her Death

Allwell Ademola’s Brother Slams Nollywood Colleagues After Her Death

The brother of late Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has sparked intense reactions online after releasing an emotional video blasting actors and filmmakers who have been posting tributes following her death.

In the viral video, which has been trending across social media platforms, the grieving brother accused several A-list actors of hypocrisy, questioning their sudden public display of love and grief after allegedly abandoning his sister while she was alive.

Visibly angry and emotional, he said:

“Everybody dey post all well rest in peace. How many of you supported my sister when she was alive? All of una A-list actors wey call una self her friends — Iyabo Ojo, all of una.”

He further accused Nollywood colleagues of benefiting from Allwell Ademola’s kindness without showing her the same level of support when she needed it most.

“Me I just remember say my sister carry all of una join body,” he added.

Calling out specific names, he recalled how actors came to their family home for movie productions but allegedly failed to uplift her career.

“Lateef Oladimeji, Owonikoko, you come to our house to shoot films. When all of you were doing movies, did you put Allwell?” he asked.

The grieving brother also slammed the industry for what he described as fake recognition after death, questioning why her movies were not promoted when she was alive.

“But now you guys are posting my sister — our sister, our producer, our director. Did you guys ever promote any of her movies?” he queried.

He went further to challenge misinformation surrounding the actress’ age, calling out those spreading false details online.

“You guys should stop posting my sister. You guys don’t know her age. She is not 43, okay. Are you guys mad? Did you honour her when she was alive?” he said angrily.

The video has triggered widespread debate online, with many Nigerians agreeing that the Nollywood industry often celebrates artistes more in death than in life, while others believe public mourning should still be respected regardless of past actions.

As of press time, no Nollywood actor mentioned in the video has publicly responded to the allegations.
