Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has escalated tensions surrounding the ongoing legal battle involving popular online critic Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), by issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to Pastor Chris Okafor.
The actress publicly demanded that the senior pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries immediately withdraw his defamation lawsuit against VeryDarkMan or face further exposure.
The legal action, initiated by Pastor Okafor’s team, targets statements made by VeryDarkMan and a woman identified as Miss Chi, who has publicly claimed to be the cleric’s daughter. The pastor’s lawyers insist the allegation is false, citing DNA evidence as proof.
However, Doris Ogala’s intervention has shifted the situation from a courtroom dispute to a heated public confrontation.
Speaking in a video circulating online, the actress questioned the pastor’s decision to pursue legal action and issued a clear warning.
“Is it true that Pastor Chris Okafor’s lawyer has filed a lawsuit against VeryDarkman?” she asked. “If it is, I’m giving Pastor Chris Okafor not more than 24 hours to apologise to VeryDarkman.”
Ogala’s statement immediately sparked reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating her bold stance and the growing fallout surrounding the allegations.
The actress, who has previously been linked to a separate face-off with the clergyman, framed the lawsuit as an attempt to silence criticism rather than resolve the controversy.
Her ultimatum has placed fresh pressure on Pastor Okafor, raising questions about whether the lawsuit will proceed or be withdrawn to avoid further public scrutiny.
As of press time, Pastor Chris Okafor and his legal representatives have not issued an official response to Doris Ogala’s demand.
