JJC Accuses Don Jazzy, D’banj of Betrayal

Veteran Nigerian musician JJC has stirred conversation online after alleging that top industry figures, including Don Jazzy, D’banj, Ayo, and DJ Abass, conspired against him during the early stages of his music career.

Speaking openly about his struggles, JJC revealed that his journey into the Nigerian music scene was marked by disappointment and betrayal from people he trusted to help him grow.

According to him, CAS was the person who introduced Don Jazzy to him, while Ayo and DJ Abass came along when they were managing a television station. At the time, JJC said he was desperate for industry guidance and connections.

“I came to them and said you guys are obviously well connected in Nigeria, and I’m a JJC. I need somebody to introduce me to the right people to work with,” he recounted.

JJC said they agreed to help him and linked him up with Bankuli, believing it would open doors for collaboration and growth. However, things soon took a different turn.

While Don Jazzy recorded a song with him and D’banj secured a deal for himself, JJC claimed there were plans being made behind the scenes without his knowledge.

He further alleged that he later heard from fellow artiste Ruggedman that D’banj had reportedly said:

“I’m not paying them, I’m cheating them.”

Reacting to the alleged statement, JJC expressed disbelief and frustration, insisting he had invested heavily in supporting those around him at the time.

“Nobody knows you, bro. I take you to shows, buy your clothes, food, you even live in my house and I take you everywhere. How can I be cheating you when you haven’t made any money?” he said.

The revelation has reignited discussions around power dynamics, loyalty, and hidden agendas within the Nigerian music industry, as artists continue to share personal accounts of the struggles they faced before success.
