Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has announced plans to take legal action against popular clergyman Pastor Chris Okafor, accusing him of backing out of a marriage promise and marrying another woman instead.
The actress made the revelation during a recent live conversation with media personality Daddy Freeze, where she opened up about her alleged past relationship with the pastor and the events that led to their fallout.
According to Ogala, the clergyman had promised to marry her, a commitment she said deeply influenced her emotional decisions and trust in him. She claimed his sudden marriage to another woman came as a shock and betrayal, prompting her decision to seek legal redress.
During the live session, Daddy Freeze questioned Ogala about the timeline of the alleged relationship, particularly whether it overlapped with her former marriage.
In response, the actress made a candid admission.
“Was I cheating on my husband through phone intimacy? Yes, I did,” she said.
However, she was quick to clarify that the relationship never crossed into physical contact at the time.
“There was no physical relationship between us then,” Ogala insisted, adding that her actions were not something she was proud of.
When asked if she had proof to support her claims, Doris Ogala said she was in possession of chat records and screen recordings, including a video she alleged clearly shows the date and the recipient’s phone number.
According to her, these materials back up her claim that promises were made and later broken.
Daddy Freeze, however, warned her against releasing such evidence publicly, cautioning that doing so could expose her to legal trouble.
He advised that publishing private communications could amount to a breach of privacy, regardless of the context.
Despite the warning, Ogala maintained that she was not backing down. She revealed that she had already instructed her lawyer to pursue the matter, insisting that the pastor’s decision to marry another woman after allegedly promising her marriage was actionable.
According to the actress, she is prepared to present her evidence in court if necessary. As of the time of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued any public response to the allegations.
