Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has spoken publicly following her deeply emotional and widely discussed testimony on healing, addiction, and spiritual freedom, a moment she now describes as the boldest declaration of her life.
A day after her appearance at the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) service, where she revealed decades-long struggles with smoking, alcohol addiction, and masturbation, the actress returned to social media to reflect on what the moment truly meant to her.
According to Tonto, the testimony was not just a story shared, it was a spiritual breakthrough.
“This is not merely a memory; it is the luminescent zenith of my forty-year spiritual pilgrimage. It stands as my bravest, most proudest moment ever — a profound, soul-deep declaration of victory.”
In the lengthy Instagram post, the actress revealed that for decades, she lived with what she described as an invisible chain built from shame, fear, and doubt that kept her from fully expressing her faith.
“For decades, an invisible chain, forged of shame, doubt, and conditioned fear, held my heart in check, preventing the full, radiant expression of my faith,” she wrote.
Tonto admitted that despite her desire to love Christ openly, she felt unable to do so in her own strength.
“I yearned to love Jesus, but I could not, on my own strength, shatter that self-imposed barrier.”
The actress credited NSPPD, led by Pastor Jerry Eze, as the turning point that transformed her spiritual life. According to her, the experience went beyond sermons or teachings.
“What NSPPD gifted me was not a teaching, but a transmutation. It was the grace to finally, gloriously, and irrevocably love Jesus Christ unconditionally, without reserve, and without a shred of shame.”
She described the moment as one where her faith found its voice.
“It was the moment my spirit found its true, courageous voice.”
In one of the most striking parts of her message, Tonto explained how her once-silent faith transformed into something bold and fearless.
“My love, once a hesitant whisper, burst forth as a roaring anthem of devotion — passionate, fervent, and deeply intelligent.”
She added that her greatest freedom now lies in standing fully in the light of Christ.
“This is the ultimate freedom: to stand fully in the light of Christ, knowing that His love is my worth… EVERYONE WITNESS GRACE.”
This latest declaration follows earlier reflections by the actress, where she openly described her journey as one of redemption and restoration.

A few weeks ago, Tonto noted that she had gone from being a “mess” to becoming a “message,” stressing that the place God rescued her from is not where anyone should remain.
Her testimony has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many praising her courage, honesty, and vulnerability, while others describe her story as a reminder that healing is possible, no matter how long the struggle lasts.
