Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has opened up about the bittersweet experience he had at his signee Johnny Drille’s concert; an outing that unexpectedly led him to reveal his “new spec” in women.
Taking to his X (Twitter) page, the Mavin Records boss said he spent most of the night rolling his eyes at the overly romantic atmosphere created by couples who came for the show.
According to him, everywhere he turned, people were “hugging, kissing and dancing,” and it was simply too much for his single self to handle.
Don Jazzy tweeted:
“Last night at Johnny Drille’s concert, I was just rolling my eyes at all the relationship people hugging, kissing and dancing. Them too do. Hissss. One guy came on stage and proposed to one babe to be his girlfriend. Not wife o.”
The proposal, which melted hearts in the hall, didn’t impress the music executive. Instead, it gave him one more reason to mock what he called “relationship people.”
But things got even more interesting when fans started teasing him about his love life.
One X user Jerry22 accused him of secretly being a ladies’ man:
“All of us know say u dey carry babes low-key.”
Don Jazzy fired back, insisting his old lifestyle is long gone. He also jokingly referenced a viral rumour about his sexuality:
“Are you serious? No na, I don’t do such. You no hear sey them say I be Agege?”
Another user Oluwaseun tried to expose his supposed preference for curvy women, tweeting:
“For where?? You wey like big yansh. Check my header for one.”
This time, Don Jazzy made a surprising confession, his preferences have changed.
“Old spec. Na petit dey reign now or slim thick sha.”
The producer’s revelation comes months after he publicly lamented over being single, saying he wanted to participate in a trending couple challenge but had no partner.
Following Davido’s wedding in June, Don Jazzy also explained why he is still unmarried, saying he is still “working on himself” so that when his “head correct,” his future partner will enjoy him.
In October last year, he went viral after sharing a wedding invitation someone made without his knowledge, joking that he had “missed” his own wedding.
Don Jazzy has also been open about his struggles with commitment. In an interview, he admitted he’s not naturally wired to stay with one woman, a confession that many fans still quote today.
Longtime fans also remember that the Mavin founder was once married to American model and author Michelle Jackson when he was just 20. The marriage ended after two years, with Don Jazzy explaining that his obsession with music overshadowed the relationship. Michelle later confirmed this, sharing that they met at a club and had a beautiful connection before career pressures got in the way.
Now, with his “new spec” publicly declared; petite or slim-thick women, fans are already guessing whether Don Jazzy may finally be ready to reopen the love chapter of his life.
