Nigerian skitmaker and singer Nasiru Lawal, popularly known as Nasboi, has declared that he would always choose money over fame, stressing that financial peace of mind is far more important to him than public attention.

The comedian-turned-singer made the revelation in a candid tweet, where he opened up about the overwhelming nature of fame and his desire to eventually step away from the spotlight.

According to Nasboi, the pressure that comes with being popular, creating content nonstop, staying relevant, and living under public scrutiny, has worn him out over the years. For him, the end goal is simple: make enough money to be comfortable, then retire quietly.

Sharing his thoughts on X, he wrote:

“I will choose having money over being famous… I no fit try this kind thing for my next life again.”

Nasboi went on to reveal the exact amount he considers his exit point which is ₦5 billion. Once he hits that number, he plans to quit skits, music, acting, and anything related to the entertainment industry.

“Once my money completes 5 billion, I don disembark. I no do again… No skit, no music, no acting. Make the brain rest.”
