Consistency Looks Like This — Shoday Finally Links Up With Davido After Years of Hustle

Nigerian fast-rising star Shoday has officially unlocked a milestone he has chased for years; a collaboration with Davido, and the internet is celebrating the victory like it’s theirs.

The Casablanca and Hey Jago hitmaker shared emotional throwbacks on Instagram, confirming that he and Davido have recorded a new joint with Zlatan and South African DJ duo TXC also jumping on the track. A snippet of the song is already tearing through timelines, with fans declaring it an instant hit.

But what has truly captured hearts is the story behind the moment.

Shoday posted a 2022 throwback side-by-side with a new photo of him hugging Davido like long-lost brothers. In the old clip, Shoday was seen with his full studio setup: mic, laptop, sound card, wires, going bravely to Davido’s mansion after locating it via Google Maps.

According to him, he knocked “120 times” on the gate that year, hoping OBO would hear him and give him a chance. But the gate never opened.

Sharing the moment, Shoday captioned the transformation with just one powerful line:

“Consistency looks like this! @davido”

On X, a fan identified as GNF Sultan dug up the old 2022 video, reminding everyone how Shoday literally tried to enter Davido’s house to chase his dream.

He wrote:

“Chai 😭 I can’t forget 2022 when Shoday carried his whole studio setup and used Google Maps to find Davido’s house. Baba knock gate tire that year just to chase a dream. Fast-forward to 2025… A WHOLE SONG with Davido. I’m genuinely happy for you.”

Davido himself reacted by quoting the tweet with a short but powerful message that sent fans into a frenzy:

“Wow God really Dey”

That single line has now crossed over 1 million views, and 30BG and Shoday fans are screaming “grace” everywhere.

From knocking the wrong gate with his recording kit in 2022 to hugging 001 and cooking a fire collaboration in 2025, Shoday’s story has become the newest symbol of grace, hustle, and divine timing in the Nigerian music scene.
