Legendary singer Innocent 2Baba Idibia has publicly cried out over what he calls a dangerous, coordinated attempt by some family members and close associates to destroy his reputation, sabotage his relationships, and paint him as mentally unstable.
In a tense and emotional video that went viral recently, the music icon said he can no longer keep quiet as the situation has spiralled into something far more threatening than “normal family differences.”
Speaking with visible frustration, 2Baba declared:
“I’m okay. I’m perfectly normal. Please stop painting me as mentally unstable.”
According to him, the same pattern of interference that once destabilised his marriage to actress Annie Idibia is now being targeted at his current partner, Natasha.
The singer alleged:
“My family destroyed my marriage with Annie. Now they are after Natasha.”
“Natasha is getting death threats right now. This has gotten dangerously out of hand.”
2Baba accused some relatives of creating chaos under the guise of “trying to save him,” insisting their actions are doing the exact opposite.
“You say you’re trying to save me, but you’re killing me. You’re killing us.”
He emphasised that he is mentally fit, active, and very much present, calling out the narrative that he is unwell.
“Everybody has been seeing me out there. Anybody that has eyes knows I’m okay. I recently performed in Abuja.”
The singer further lamented the alleged lies and smear campaigns circulating within his family.
“What my family is doing? Fabricating so many lies… It has become so dangerous. It’s not funny anymore. I’m totally devastated.”
2Baba pleaded with both the public and relatives to respect his privacy, choices, and autonomy.
“I’m a grown man and I have the right to be with who I want to be with.”
“Please, just stay out of my private and personal life. Just let us be.”
He hinted that he will be revealing more details soon, noting that he has finally reached his limit.
“I’m not going to be quiet anymore.”
“In the next couple of days, I’m going to speak a whole lot of truth.”
The shocking outburst adds yet another twist to the deepening saga surrounding his relationship with Natasha and the heated tensions rippling through his family.
