It Was Just Content — Viral TikTok User Retracts Assassination Claim Against Ned Nwoko, Begs for Forgiveness

The young TikTok user who went viral for alleging that Senator Ned Nwoko offered him money to assassinate actress Regina Daniels has now made a dramatic U-turn, tearfully confessing that the entire accusation was fabricated “just for content.”

His emotional breakdown comes hours after Senator Nwoko threatened to file a major legal suit against all parties involved in what he described as a coordinated act of criminal defamation.

In a fresh video released online, the TikTok creator who identifies himself as “Liar of TikTok”, went on his knees, weeping and pleading desperately for forgiveness.

According to him, the viral clip circulating online was edited from a longer video and was never meant to be taken seriously.

Begging profusely, he said:

“Ned Nwoko, I am very, very sorry sir. Please forgive me. It was content. I didn’t know it would reach this level… I have nobody. No father, no mother. Please sir, I’m begging you with the God you serve. Forgive me.”

He insisted he never intended to destroy the senator’s image or trigger a national controversy, adding that the situation has now placed him “in serious trouble.”

This apology comes amid a heated public storm following the circulation of a shocking viral video claiming that the Delta State senator offered ₦5 million to accomplices to eliminate his estranged youngest wife, Regina Daniels, a claim Nwoko’s team has categorically dismissed as malicious and criminal.

Senator Nwoko earlier announced he had petitioned multiple security agencies, including the Inspector General of Police, the DSS, and the Cybercrime Unit, directing them to identify and prosecute those behind the allegations.

The TikTok user’s sudden reversal now adds a new twist to a story that has dominated social media discourse for days, raising questions about the growing trend of creators fabricating sensitive claims for engagement.
