For the first time since the controversy surrounding 2Baba Idibia and his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, erupted online, the singer’s younger brother Hyacinth Idibia has spoken publicly, and his message is nothing short of emotional.
Taking to Instagram, Hyacinth shared what many have described as a heartfelt plea, pairing his words with lyrics from one of 2Baba’s own inspiring songs. His post read:
“You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us save you, Oyinem’. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
The message, though brief, has intensified concerns about the singer’s well-being as the drama between 2Baba and Natasha continues to dominate public conversations.
The controversy first spiked when a video surfaced showing a heated exchange between the couple while in the UK. Natasha was reportedly heard raising her voice, prompting neighbours to call the police. The incident ended in 2Baba being briefly detained; a moment that shocked fans and quickly went viral.
The issue resurfaced in dramatic fashion during a recent Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze, where Natasha and the music legend clashed openly. Viewers watched in disbelief as the couple argued on camera before 2Baba abruptly exited the live broadcast.
Weeks of online clashes, leaked claims, and emotional reactions have followed, and many believe Hyacinth’s message is the clearest sign yet that the Idibia family is deeply worried.
Hyacinth’s plea aligns with earlier concerns raised by those who have worked closely with the singer.
Recently, Kaka, a former staff member of 2Baba, claimed in an interview that Natasha allegedly hindered the singer’s growth and exerted psychological control over him. According to him, the situation became so unbearable that he cut ties with the couple.
Rapper and actor Ikechukwu also expressed support, reminding fans that everyone carries hidden struggles. Referring to 2Baba as his brother, he wrote that this storm “too will pass.”
On the other hand, Mariam Laushi, wife of BBNaija star Leo DaSilva, criticised the singer for leaving Annie Idibia only to end up in what she called a “toxïc relationship at his big age,” insisting fans should not pity him.
Media personality Daddy Freeze added a more alarming note, revealing that what he witnessed during the Instagram Live session “traumatised” him. He urged those close to the couple to intervene immediately.

During their engagement, 2Baba’s mother pleaded with Natasha to remove certain beads she placed on the singer, saying her son was “not in his right senses” while going through a divorce from Annie.
Charles Idibia, another younger brother, said 2baba had been “captured from inside the frying pan and thrown into an industrial furnace,” accusing Natasha of manipulation and urging the singer to wake up for the sake of his children.
