Netizens Drag 2Baba After Shocking Video of His UK Arrest Surfaces Online

A fresh wave of online drama has erupted as netizens mock legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba following a viral video showing him being arrested in the UK after an alleged altercation with his new wife, Natasha Idibia.

The clip, now making rounds on social media, shows the music icon in handcuffs as UK police escort him into a patrol vehicle. In another video, Natasha is seen stepping down from a bus, audibly reminding him, “I’m carrying your child.” The footage has intensified conversations surrounding their relationship, especially after months of speculation.

Back in October, news circulated that 2Baba had been arrested following an altercation with his then-pregnant wife. The singer swiftly denied the reports, saying he missed his event appearance due to an “urgent medical emergency” and promised fans a better outing in the future. But the circulating video has now sparked accusations that he wasn’t truthful.

The incident has triggered a wave of reactions online, especially from users who recall the singer previously describing Natasha as his “peace of mind” a statement many believed was a jab at his ex-wife, Annie Idibia.

One Lady Claire wrote, “Legend Annie has been managing for how many years? E reach Nee Idibia turn, she arrest am. Make nothing do our legend.” Another user, @Adewhalezz, weighed in, “Annie no be frying pan… Annie was wonderful to him and had to put up with his plenty shenanigans.”

The dragging continued as @bossbae_kamsy added, “Them never see anything, God of Annie and May is working.” @christiabelbello remarked, “Marriage no be beans o. Before then go fully understand each other na 5 yrs be the standard.”

More comments flew in: @suemnzy wrote, “When God make you marry your own karma. God is good.” @glowbymo_organicskincarepalace mocked him with, “I thought they said he was searching for peace of mind and Annie isn’t giving him that.” One deojie_hair added, “His peace, na their type of peace be that.”

One lionelelizabeth49 commented, “Benin Edo women no get patience o. Them no sabi tolerate nonsense from men at all.” One aanu_bibi wrote, “Peace of mind wan wound them.” One Daveish_2020 added, “She’s his peace of mind now.”

The backlash comes months after 2Baba stirred controversy during his appearance on Nedu’s podcast, where he stated that “a man isn’t built to be sexually active with one woman” and insisted that a man can love his partner yet still desire others.

Following the heavy criticism, the legendary singer appeared to shift his stance, posting a video in which he admitted, “I fucked up,” and apologized to Natasha whom he described as “the love of my life” as well as to his fans and children.

OAP Do2dtun reacted with concern, saying 2Baba rarely defends himself publicly and suggesting that someone might be emotionally manipulating him. Comedian Ayo Makun also weighed in, cautioning that people were quick to blame 2Baba without asking if he was mentally okay. He added that men are often raised to “suffer in silence” whether they are right or wrong.

Singer Cynthia Morgan also offered her take, telling Natasha that she “can’t purge a man like 2face into monogamy overnight,” and calling for prayers for the music icon. She questioned whether he is spiritually grounded.

Media personality Daddy Freeze didn’t hold back either, saying the singer was “depreciating, turning from a Bentley to a Corolla,” and insisting that while Annie is “evolving into a Queen,” 2Baba is becoming “RadioGad” and risks turning into “a puppet.”

As the viral footage continues to spread, the public debate about 2Baba’s relationship choices, emotional health, and marital stability shows no signs of slowing down.
