Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has joined the growing list of Nigerian celebrities publicly expressing frustration over the rising wave of insecurity across the country.
Reacting to the latest reports of schoolgirl abductions and terrorist attacks, Don Jazzy reposted a statement from the Nigerian Presidency on X (formerly Twitter) and delivered a strongly worded message to President Bola Tinubu.
In his post, the music mogul wrote:
“The perpetrators deserve no mercy. There is an urgent need for our armed forces to eliminate every single one of these terrorists. It wasn’t always like this. Terrorism cannot be a part of our normal lives. Where are they appearing from and disappearing to? Where is the intelligence? Mr. President please demand more accountability from your security chiefs. This needs to end now Sir.”
His remark reflects the growing anger and exhaustion among Nigerians, many of whom are demanding more decisive action from the government instead of repeated press statements.
Public figures such as comedian Cute Abiola and gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan have also raised their voices, urging the government to stop issuing statements and instead take concrete steps to secure the nation.
