Big Twist: BBN Winner Imisi’s Mother Breaks Silence, Denies Sending Her Out at Age 12

The mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has come forward to address the viral claims her daughter made during and after the show about her childhood, firmly denying allegations that she abandoned her at the age of 12.

In a video shared on Instagram, the mother said she was shocked to hear Imisi narrate that she was thrown out of the house as a child. She insisted no such incident ever occurred.

According to her, she immediately reached out to her own mother; Imisi’s grandmother as well as her sister, to verify whether they recalled any such incident. Both, she said, confirmed that nothing of the sort happened.

“I was surprised when I heard she said I sent her out at 12. I don’t have any memory of such. I asked my mother, I asked my sister, and nobody knows anything about it”, she said.

The mother also reacted to Imisi’s revelation about being r*ped while growing up. She stated that she had no knowledge of when or how it happened and urged her daughter to publicly explain the timeline so the family can understand what transpired.

She added that the widespread statements have subjected her to ridicule in public places, with people labeling her a bad mother based on Imisi’s narrative.

“People insult me outside. They tag me as a bad mother because of what she said. The backlash has been too much”, she lamented.

The online community has been divided, with many expressing sympathy for the mother while others call for restraint from both sides.

@seunobajolu defended the mother, “If her daughter told the world her mom chased her out at age 12, it’s important she debunks the lie. She can hold her peace after.” @feimatabee compared, “Another Phyna and her family part 2.” @monicafriday1 commented, “I pray they sort things out.”

@amensesy09 said, “God abeg make bad parents no born person o. Granting interviews up and down smh.” @cometh_quinci2 added, “After mama you go rest oo. If she didn’t win I guess you wouldn’t make this video.”

As conversations continue, fans are urging both mother and daughter to seek private reconciliation instead of escalating personal family issues on social media.
