I’m Financially Set Even If I Stop Making Music Today — Spyro Brags In New Interview

Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has declared that he would remain financially stable even if he stopped making music, revealing that the bulk of his income comes from performing at corporate events rather than traditional industry shows.

Speaking on the Adesope Live Show, the “Who Is Your Guy” crooner explained that his clean, family-friendly sound has made him a favourite among banks, organizations, and high-profile business executives.

“If I quit music today, I’m financially set. People just don’t realize it because I’m not one to boast”, Spyro confidently stated.

He added that while many artists chase mainstream concerts and club gigs, he deliberately plays in a different lane.

“I rarely perform at industry shows. My focus is on corporate events. I’ve created a unique space for myself in the music scene”, he said.

Highlighting the calibre of clients he attracts, Spyro revealed:

“Every year, banks and prominent figures like Tony Elumelu book me for their events. They want music that’s clean and suitable for family audiences, and only a handful of artists like myself, Chike, and Johnny Drille fit that profile.”

Beyond performance earnings, the singer also disclosed that he has made solid investments to secure his long-term financial stability.

The revelation has sparked mixed reactions online. @piondy001 wrote, “I’m really impressed by his words. Bro is a good artist. I love his music.” @thatbobprnew commented, “Brag untop how many hits.” @alnur1313 added, “Person wey get only one hit talk this one oh! I just de wonder how long them wiz money be.” @Iam_aytush defended him, saying, “If he talk say he get money, he get am be that na. Why una dey drag am?”

Spyro’s statement has since sparked debate on social media about artists’ revenue streams, clean music, and the financial strength behind corporate bookings.
