The Nigerian hip-hop scene is on fire again as Odumodu Blvck publicly called out legendary rapper M.I Abaga, accusing him of hypocrisy and fence-sitting.
In a fiery post that has since gone viral, Odumodu didn’t hold back. Tagging M.I directly, he wrote:
“@MI_Abaga AS FOR YOU. THE WHOLE WORLD ARE GOING TO BE SO SHOCKED THAT I AM TALKING TO YOU LIKE THIS AND I KNOW THEY WILL COME FOR ME BECAUSE YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT PORTRAYING THE ‘GOOD’ GUY. ONE THING THEY DID NOT TELL YOU IS THAT I DON’T CARE ABOUT PUBLIC OPINION UNLIKE YOU.”
The outspoken rapper continued his tirade, claiming he had lost all respect for M.I.
“YOU STOOD IN FRONT OF A BLATANT 🫡 AND DECIDED TO SIT ON THE FENCE LIKE ABUCHI. I HAVE LOST EVERY JOTA OF RESPECT FOR YOU. I AM COMING OUT TO THE WORLD. SHORT MAN DEVIL. YOU NO BE MY OG.
YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A RAT. I BET YOU WON’T REPLY BECAUSE I AM SAYING THE TRUTH.”
The unexpected outburst has sent shockwaves across social media, with fans divided over the younger rapper’s tone and motive.
One user, @mr_goldima, advised: “I guess he’s not ready for MI’s response… The internet go scatter. Just build your legacy and leave the legends.”
Another fan, @thefunmilayooo, referenced M.I’s history with another rapper, writing: “Did they tell Odumodu what M.I did to Vector?” @drogbaenyi joked, “The machine don knock. OD enter studio no dey do cho cho cho like Tacha.”
While @femiy_artmazing_african criticized the rapper’s attitude: “You guys gassed this guy to this level… abeg make industry reset.
