Priscilla Ojo Breaks Silence After Reports of Her Husband Juma Jux’s Store Destruction in Tanzania

Priscilla Ojo has cleared the air following reports that her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux’s luxury clothing store, was destroyed by protesters amid political unrest in Tanzania.

Recently, a Twitter user, Bolaji Fesomade, claimed that the singer’s store, reportedly worth over ₦780 million, had been “set ablaze and completely destroyed” during protests that erupted after the tense presidential election in Tanzania.

He wrote:

“Reports from Tanzania say singer Juma Jux’s store, worth over $780 million, has been set ablaze and completely destroyed by protesters. The violence erupted after yesterday’s tense presidential election, which sparked chaos and unrest across several parts of the country.”

However, Priscilla has now debunked those claims. Taking to her Snapchat and Instagram stories, she confirmed that while the store was indeed affected, it was only looted not burned down.

She wrote simply:

“God is in control.”

Her statement quickly drew attention online, with fans expressing sympathy and sending messages of support to the couple.

Back in June, Tanzanian media personality Mange Kimambi had warned Priscilla against posting loved-up photos and videos with her husband while the country prepared for elections. Mange advised her to wait until after the elections before resuming their usual online content.

Despite the warning, Priscilla had shared throwback photos from their Tanzanian wedding, captioning them:

“Let’s throwback a little. Thank God say God no be man.”

The couple’s relationship has often made headlines. When Juma Jux won the Best East African Artiste of the Year at the Headies Awards, some online users implied he married Priscilla to gain recognition in Nigeria.

Priscilla, in her usual confident tone, clapped back, writing:

“Yes, my husband married for Nigerian recognition and the Headies Award. The game is the game. Shout-out to my smart, calculative, and hardworking man.”

Last year, Juma Jux bagged another honour, winning Best Artist/Group Eastern Africa 2024 at the Jaylia Awards in Côte d’Ivoire.
On stage, he expressed his love and appreciation for Priscilla, a gesture that melted hearts across social media.

Reacting to his win, Priscilla gushed:

“I love everything about you, most especially your kind heart. Congratulations, my man.”

For now, Priscilla Ojo maintains that her husband’s store was only looted, not burned, choosing faith over fear as the couple faces this new challenge together.
