Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has fired back at a man who publicly accused her of being a “thief agent” over a property advertisement she shared online.
The Yoruba movie star had taken to her Instagram page to promote a landed property worth ₦50 million, encouraging her followers to invest.
However, several fans quickly pointed out that her colleague Biola Bayo had previously advertised the same property, stating that it was worth ₦40 million; a ₦10 million difference that raised eyebrows.
Amid the mixed reactions, one man, identified on Instagram as @itz_tobjay, took things further by calling the actress “a thief agent” in the comment section, a move that didn’t sit well with Omoborty.
In a fiery response, the actress vowed to make him an example, insisting that he must prove his claim.
“That guy sitting beside Aunty Jaiye Kuti just called me a thief. On top a property he doesn’t even know the real owner”, she wrote. “I’m going to use you as a scapegoat. You must prove that I’m a thief else…”
The visibly angry actress emphasized that she was only performing her role as a brand influencer and had no personal stake in the property being sold. She warned against spreading defamatory comments under her post.
“Some people don’t even verify before talking. I’m advertising what I was paid to promote, not stealing”, she added in her follow-up story.
The confrontation has since gone viral, sparking a debate among fans and fellow actors about online defamation and influencer accountability.

While many supported her decision to fight back, others urged her to take legal action rather than engage online.
@mozidatulkhayr_foods wrote, “Please don’t forgive him.” @dvgmadeit commented, “You’re free to deal with him.” @giftobiefula added, “Pls use him as a scapegoat.” @zeez_jack countered, “Na true the guy talk.” @the18thstylings_backup added, “O shi so ni, Aunty Biodun, emabinu.”
As of press time, the accused user @itz_tobjay has not publicly responded to the actress’ threat.
