Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has fired back at colleague Lizzy Anjorin after the latter poked fun at Nkechi’s collapsed POP in Lekki.
The back-and-forth began when Lizzy openly mocked Nkechi over the incident.
Nkechi answered with a brutal challenge on Instagram, asking Lizzy to “pick a location” and daring her to show up so she could beat her like a small child. She said she would drag Lizzy to her village despite earlier vows to stop online drama.
Hours later Nkechi posted an open letter clarifying her stance. She insisted her restraint shouldn’t be mistaken for fear, explaining she is holding back because she doesn’t want to end up in jail.
“Avoiding drama doesn’t mean I’m scared of you. I have anger issues & I’m trying to avoid jail,” she wrote. Open letter to ole Idumota, that my mother name wey you Dey mention go kpai you and your generation… Broad daylight witch @lizzyanjorin_originallawal.”
Nkechi’s post makes clear she feels provoked but is choosing self-control over escalation.
The actress has been candid about her struggles on social media in recent months, and this latest clash adds to a long history of public spats between the two stars.
Lizzy, for her part, has said in past interviews that she does not start fights and only responds when attacked; a claim that has fed this cycle of online confrontations.
With both actresses standing their ground, it doesn’t appear the feud will cool off anytime soon.
