“Ned Nwoko Wants Virgins, Regina Daniels Wants Wealth” – Rev. Kelvin Ugwu Breaks Silence

Nigerian Catholic priest, Reverend Father Kelvin Ugwu, has shared his thoughts on the ongoing marital tension between billionaire politician Ned Nwoko and actress Regina Daniels, describing their union as a “transaction rather than a marriage.”

In a lengthy Facebook post, the outspoken cleric said that Ned Nwoko’s obsession lies in virginity, while Regina Daniels’ interest revolves around wealth.

“Between Elder Ned and Baby Gina,” he began. “Ned is obsessed with virginity, Gina is obsessed with wealth.”

He backed his statement with references to past interviews, noting that the Delta-born lawmaker once revealed during a conversation with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television that he could never marry a non-virgin. Meanwhile, Regina once hinted that she would rather “cry in a Lamborghini”, implying her attraction to luxury and comfort.

“Luckily—or should we say providentially—Ned met Gina, and Gina met Ned,” Fr. Ugwu wrote. Ned has wealth, which is what Gina wants. Gina has virginity, which is what Ned wants. The requirements on both sides were met. Their hotspots and Bluetooth were compatible for pairing.”

He continued in his usual witty tone:

“They paired. Transfers were made. Results were visible: Ned looked fulfilled and proud to show us offspring that emanated from his virginic exploration. Gina was happy at last and was proud to flaunt the dollars, Ferrari, and G-Wagon that emanated from her ancestral exploration.”

According to the priest, both parties have no reason to complain, since “what they ordered was exactly what they got.”

However, he added that their ongoing conflict stems from defining what they share as marriage, even though it was merely an exchange of wants.

“What Gina and Ned had or still have is not marriage. It resembles it, but resemblance does not make it it,” he wrote. “If marriage were to stand and talk, it would sue Ned and Gina for abuse.”

Drawing parallels with arranged “paper marriages” in Europe and America, he argued that such relationships are built on contracts, not commitment.

“Marriage goes beyond seeking virgins or Lamborghinis,” he added. “It is not for better, for best, or richer for wealth. It is built on total self-giving on two human beings choosing to grow together, not commodities exchanging value.”

Fr. Ugwu concluded by warning that many people today confuse partnership for marital union, a mindset he described as the root of “childish online disturbances.”
