Sweezzy, the elder brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has reacted to the drug and alcohol abuse allegations made by her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Taking to his Instagram story, Sweezzy dismissed the claims and urged the public to stay calm, noting that no marriage is without its challenges.
He stated that he deliberately chose not to speak earlier, as there’s no such thing as a perfect couple.
“Lol, where that girl wey say I no suppose dey post my Cana again? Before Ned, I steady on my kpo, after Ned, I still dey do my kpo. As I no talk so make una avoid me,” he wrote. “No marriage without problems, but remember, I decided not to speak. There’s no perfect couple.”
He also clarified that his sister, Regina Daniels, has no involvement in any form of drug abuse or misuse.
“PS: Regina Daniels is not affiliated with any drug abuse or misuse. She is not granting any useless interviews or tryna feed y’all timelines! Anything wey go up must come down. Shout-out to y’all for your concerns, love, texts, and check-ups. None is being taken for granted”, he added.
This comes after Ned Nwoko, in a public statement, attributed the tension in their marriage to what he described as Regina’s “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse”.
The lawmaker further claimed that Regina’s brother, Sammy West, who was seen defending her in a viral video, was allegedly her drug supplier.
In the viral clip, Sammy was seen confronting men reportedly sent by Nwoko after an alleged domestic dispute.
Reacting to the incident, Sammy condemned any form of violence against women, stating that he would not tolerate anyone laying hands on his sister.
The Daniels brothers have continued to show strong support for Regina. Earlier this year, Sweezzy threw subtle shade at Ned while praising his sister’s strength, calling her their “star girl”. He also once declared himself her “Minister of Defense”, vowing to always protect her.
Regina Daniels, who has remained silent amid the controversy, once described Sweezzy as her “first love”, saying his presence in her life is a blessing because he always stands firm for her “come rain or shine”.
