Reality TV star Phyna, winner of Big Brother Naija Level Up, has raised an alarm over her alleged unlawful detention by a hotel in Abuja following a dispute over ₦3.5 million in damages.
The media personality took to her Instagram stories on Saturday to share a series of disturbing posts, accusing the management of Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa of negligence and foul play.
According to her, the hotel failed to ensure her safety after allegedly allowing “touts” access to her room during a confrontation, and later demanded she pay millions in damages.
“Dalchifit hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts to come in the hotel to fight me and now they are about to lock me up till Monday cuz I refused to pay a damage of ₦3.5m, please I’m in prison rn”, she wrote.
In another post, the reality star expressed her frustration over the alleged mistreatment, questioning why the hotel compromised her security.
“Bcus I’m Phyna I’m being fooled by a hotel that could not secure me in their premises. An hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception up till 2nd floor to bang and break down the door. Same hotel that told the touts my room number, I’ve never seen that type of thing”, she lamented.
Phyna’s cry for help quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from fans and social media users, many of whom expressed concern, while others questioned the recurring controversies surrounding the reality star.
One user, @vera_crystal_, commented, “I don tire for this girl, she’s always in one situation or the other.” Another, @hrh_kingdiamond, added, “At this moment she needs therapy.”
A user identified as @ridon_scofield joked, “₦3.5M damage? Phyna, girl, you turned that hotel into a wrestling ring!”
Meanwhile, @foreverhealthcare9ja quipped, “And na Regina for help Phyna now o.”
As of the time of filing this report, Dalchifit Hotel is yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations.
Phyna, however, remains vocal on her Instagram page, insisting that her rights were violated and calling on the public for support.
