Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has ignited fresh controversy in the rap scene with the release of his latest single, “ACL”, a bold and unapologetic diss record that many believe is aimed squarely at Odumodublvck.
The track, which dropped online to instant buzz, sees Blaqbonez crown himself the “blueprint” of Nigerian rap while throwing lyrical grenades at unnamed “failed rappers turned internet gangsters”.
He taunts:
“Anti-World? More like Anti-Success.”
A clear jab at Odumodublvck’s “Anti-World Gangstars” movement, one of the most telling clues about the intended target.
Throughout the record, Blaqbonez flaunts his dominance and mocks other rappers who, according to him, “seek validation and chase clout on the internet.” He sneers at them as “old men gasping for motion… wey go soon need wheelchair.”
The shots get even harsher midway through as he accuses his rival of desperation and irrelevance:
“Failed rappers begging for stipends, sending early-morning DMs, obsession dey smell.”
He doesn’t stop there. In a line that has sparked massive reactions, he likens his opponent to Bobrisky, rapping that he has “fallen off and finished.”
Blaqbonez continues with repeated references to “The Machine,” saying:
“The Machine go soon knock… the Machine don faulty.”
A-not-so-subtle suggestion that Odumodublvck’s creative engine is breaking down. He even mocks his appearance, dropping the brutal punchline:
“Belly look like he swallowed a stylist.”
In the song’s visuals, the symbolism gets bolder; a trash can covered with fabric resembling Odumodu’s signature Igbo cap appears, reinforcing the diss narrative.
Fans have since taken sides on social media. @gadfadar_ said, “Couldn’t agree more. His songs are dead, noisy, empty. The fact he’s taken seriously beats me.” @4tin9 warned, “Be careful what you wish for, son.”
@ezeqwesiri added, “This beef looks staged, but whether real or not, it’s good for hip-hop. Rap is not dead.” @gcw_ concluded, “Blaq get bars hands down, he’s above the rest.”
The track “ACL” has now become the most talked-about hip-hop release of the week, reigniting the ever-burning rivalry between lyrical rappers in Nigeria’s evolving rap scene.
