Gehgeh Weighs In on Blord vs VDM iPhone Saga: ‘He’s a Businessman, Not a Scammer’

Popular financial analyst and social commentator, Gehgeh, has shared his opinion on the ongoing online clash between VeryDarkMan (VDM) and businessman BLord over the controversial iPhone XR clone said to resemble the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In a viral video shared on his Instagram page, Gehgeh stated that both parties had their faults and their points. He explained that while VDM’s exposure of Blord’s supplier might have been driven by transparency, it ultimately crossed the line of fair play in business.

“Before God and man, what VeryDarkMan did to Blord is very, very wrong. And at the same time, e dey right, I go explain,” Gehgeh began.

According to him, Blord did not do anything wrong as a businessman by selling the cloned iPhone XR at ₦450,000, even though VDM claimed the same phone could be gotten from China for ₦250,000.

“The sole aim of every businessman is to make profit,” Gehgeh said. “Blord no be the manufacturer. He bought it from the company, and as a middleman, he must make profit. Whether the profit margin high or not, e no make am wrong.”

However, Gehgeh criticized VDM for exposing the manufacturer’s contact publicly after Blord had already started selling the product.

“VDM say he don dey China since, but he no talk anything until Blord begin sell. That’s where he wrong,” Gehgeh explained. “But at the same time, he’s right because he helped some Nigerians who can now afford the phone cheaper.”

The balanced take has drawn applause online, with many commending Gehgeh for his fairness and wisdom.

@bellak_comedy commented, “You too wise for this analysis.”
@iamoseroland wrote, “Gehgeh you talk am finish, unfiltered truth and you be honest person.” @king_katchy added, “Thank God for VDM and thank God for Gehgeh.”

With both sides presenting strong arguments, the controversy highlights the thin line between business strategy and consumer transparency.
