“A Swimming Pool Of Sin” — Celestial Church Pastor Slams BBNaija And Winner Imisi

The grandson of the late Celestial Church founder, Pastor S.B.J. Oshoffa, and shepherd of Praiseville Global, Kunle Hamilton, has stirred controversy online after condemning Big Brother Naija Season 10 and its winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi.

In a viral video, the cleric described the popular reality TV show as “a swimming pool of sin where they photocopy other people’s lifestyles”, stressing that Imisi’s victory is “nothing to be proud of.”

He said,

“If I had Imisi’s phone number, I would personally congratulate her but would never do so publicly. If she maintains her Christian mindset, she would continue to prosper.”

Hamilton also criticized other pastors who celebrated Imisi’s win, saying their public congratulations send the “wrong message to young people, encouraging them to do anything to make money.”

His comments have since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from fans and church members across social media.

On Instagram, @sirminzy defended Imisi, writing: “I disagree. Imisi’s stay has made a lot of people see that you can be in a secluded place with others and still be decent. Did they tell him they worship Satan in the BB house? All these rules are why many Christians have been shortchanged.”

Another user, @misschidel, added: “Remember that people condemn what they can’t have.” @blinksbyjimvhi_k wrote: “Thank God say man no be God sha. It’s well.”

While @creativelashey teased, “If she bring Ipese, una go chop am… Yes or no sir???” And @vibrant_damsel_ echoed similar sentiments: “Won de. Hope if she brings tithe and comes for Thanksgiving, una go chase her away?”

Despite the criticisms, Imisi continues to receive love from fans and members of her church community, who see her win as a symbol of grace, resilience, and faith.
