Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has issued a strong warning to men, saying that mistreating their wives could lead to their downfall in life.

Taking to her Instagram page, the movie star shared her thoughts on the spiritual power and influence of women in a man’s life, describing them as “vessels who work with God’s heart.”

Edochie stressed that women are not weak as society often paints them but are spiritual forces capable of shaping a man’s destiny; for good or for bad.

“A good woman is the engine of every home. Argue with your keypads, na me talk am and na out of experience,” she began. “Behind every successful man, there’s a good spiritual woman. Women work with God’s heart. They have the power to make and unmake you. You could be doing well today with one woman you care about, but the very moment you stop showing her love, start hitting her, talking down on her, cheating on her, rejecting her food, and frolicking with ladies on the night street, your glory as a man starts dropping drastically.”

According to the actress, many men fail to realize how deeply their actions toward their partners affect their success and peace of mind.

“By the time she gets fed up and decides to walk away, trust me, your life will be in misery, and you will begin eating your own tears”, she added.

Rita concluded by advising men to treat their partners with care and respect, warning that deliberately causing pain to a woman can endanger their destiny.

“It’s simple: do not cause someone’s daughter pain and frustration, because your life as a man can be jeopardized. Every right-thinking woman is a strong vessel. The heart of a woman plays a vital role in the success or failure of her man. Treat your woman well and enjoy your home in peace.”

Rita Edochie’s message has since sparked conversations online, with many applauding her for speaking boldly about how the treatment of women affects the balance of homes and destinies.
