Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has left fans emotional after opening up about a terrifying near-death experience she survived in June this year.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress revealed that she went through a horrific medical emergency that required an unplanned surgery while she was in the United Kingdom with her husband, singer Banky W, and their sons.
According to Adesua, the surgery itself was “ironically the least dramatic part” of the ordeal.
Without going into details about what led to the incident, she expressed deep gratitude to God for saving her life, saying that if even one tiny detail had gone differently, she might not have survived.
“I could have lost my life in June of this year. I went through a horrific incident that landed me in unplanned surgery. If even one single detail of that day were different, I wouldn’t be here today”, she wrote.
The actress reflected on how the experience changed her outlook on life, saying it drew her even closer to God and reminded her of His unwavering presence.
“There is nothing anyone can tell me, God is real”, she added.
Adesua, who is known for her resilience and openness about her struggles, also urged her fans to live more intentionally and appreciate the gift of life.
“Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I will never take another day for granted. Neither should you.”
This is not the first time the actress has spoken about facing difficult moments. Earlier this year, while celebrating her birthday, Adesua revealed how she endured multiple health and family challenges, from hyperemesis during pregnancy and an emergency C-section to her husband’s tumor surgery.
Her latest testimony has since stirred emotional reactions online, with fans and colleagues flooding her page with prayers, love, and words of admiration for her faith and strength.
