Nigerian Afrobeats singer Qudus Olanrewaju Fakoya, popularly known as Qdot, has survived a terrifying armed robbery at his Lagos residence in the early hours of Saturday, September 28, 2025.

According to a public alert shared by Music Executive Dami Adenuga on X (formerly Twitter), the singer was held at gunpoint around 2:30 a.m. when armed robbers invaded his home.

The assailants carted away phones and laptops, forced transfers of funds from his bank accounts, and even gained access to his social media accounts. Thankfully, Qdot sustained no physical injuries and is reported safe.

The shocking incident follows a series of similar attacks on Nigerian entertainers, including Lil Kesh and Femi Solar, raising fresh concerns about rising insecurity.

Fans have since flooded social media with reactions. One user, @Extrastiv, called for urgent action, saying “the police should intervene quickly”.

Another, @alphamike, lamented: “Bro to Bro Nigeria isn’t safe for us, most especially the rich and popular ones. First Lil Kesh, now Qdot. Only God knows who is next.”

@damiadenuga himself expressed sadness: “Man, this is heartbreaking. Thank God for his life. But honestly, it’s scary that even in your own house you’re not safe again. The level of insecurity in this country is just sad.”

Others pointed out how thorough the robbery was, with @kelizfarmsandc noting: “First they collect your gadgets, then your bank, then your socials… Na full package robbery be this. If Qdot no safe inside him own house, who really dey safe for this country?”

The incident has once again put a spotlight on Nigeria’s worsening security challenges, particularly the vulnerability of celebrities and high-profile individuals.
