Nkechi Blessing Drags Troll: I’m Not a Celebrity…
Nigerian media personality and influencer, Nkechi Blessing, has clapped back at a troll who attempted to shame her over her marital status.
In a video posted to her Instagram page, Nkechi expressed frustration over the constant intrusion into her personal life simply because she’s in the public eye.
She questioned why being a public figure gives people the audacity to mock others over age, marriage, or children.
“Is it okay for someone to come at you unprovoked? Marriage-shame you, child-shame you, just like that? Because you are a so-called celebrity. I’ve always said this; I’m not a celebrity. I am human just like you”, she said.
The outspoken influencer revealed that she had privately messaged the troll and gave them a piece of her mind.
“You give me, I give you, then everybody go dey okay. Then you now run kitikiti katakata, you were crying because of just one line. But you, you write plenty now. Like I said, I’m not a celebrity. You bring rubbish to me, I give you rubbish back.”
For Nkechi, public life may come with scrutiny, but she seems not to be backing down from defending her peace of mind.
