Uche Ogbodo Undergoes BBL for Confidence
Nollywood star Uche Ogbodo has opened up about why she went through BBL surgery.
She says it was not for anyone else but for her mental health. “I owed it to myself to be happy and confident”, she said in interview with Saturday Beats.
Uche, a mother of three, admitted that childbirth changed her body and her confidence. She said she grew up busty and never had the hourglass shape she wanted.
After her third child, she didn’t like how she looked. So she chose to change things. “I did BBL surgery for my mental health; to feel good, okay, and enough. I am enough competition for myself,” she explained.
She also talked about transparency. Many celebrities hide their cosmetic work, she said. But she believes being honest is better. “In this country… people are not honest and transparent most times, especially celebrities… You’re a role model… why are you a shining star when you cannot be a torchbearer?” she asked.
Uche spoke about her body after three cesarean sections. She said pregnancy and surgery changed her shape. Maintaining a body after that is not easy. She said she won’t pretend her body was always perfect.
She added her husband supported her decision. And she knows surgery has risks.
“There’s danger in everything… But I knew there was nothing to be afraid of because I was in the right hands”, she admitted
